Roles and Responsiblities:


The CREATE Conference Council Executive Team collectively works towards hosting a successful conference and creating a memorable experience for our attendees. Executives are expected to proactively work to support the growth and success of the organization. The Executive Team not only organizes all CREATE training, activities and sessions, but also oversees and guides both Mavens and Delegates. Those selected for the team are expected to fulfill the responsibilities of an Executive throughout the 2020-2021 year, in addition to each position's role-specific responsibilities.

- Brainstorms and creates CREATE workshops and activities 
- Develops and organizes the CREATE conference schedule
- Uses conference leadership experience to guide the council and lead activities


- Creating posters and other promotional material
- Designing graphics for promotional material and other related content
- Managing CREATE social media alongside the other Marketing Executive
- Constructing the overall brand image of CREATE 


- Headshot photography
- Taking photos and videos throughout conference
- Editing photos and other promotional media
- Creating future promotional videos
- Managing the CREATE social media accounts (posting content, replying to DMs, managing followers, etc) along with the other Marketing Executive
- Constructing the overall brand image of CREATE 


- Overseeing the CREATE Conference Council website 
- Handling online communications via platforms such as Zoom
- Updating the design of the CREATE Conference Council website regularly
- Managing online transactions through our virtual store
- Regularly posting updates, news and announcements about our organization through our website
- Hosting weekly Executive and/or Maven meetings online if unable to meet in person (ex. Zoom)


- Overseeing all of CREATE Conference Council finances
- Prepare financial records for the organization alongside the co-presidents (ex. filing taxes, income statement)
- Oversee the organization's bank account
- Create and maintain a yearly budget
- Develop techniques to mitigate financial risk 
- Be proactive in foreseeing obstacles


Due to the current climate, the CREATE Conference Council will be operating slightly differently this year. The health and safety of our members is our utmost priority, thus the dates and timeline for the conference are TBA. Executives are expected to safely accommodate for the changes caused by the pandemic (ex. meeting virtually to ensure social distancing). Even though CREATE will look different this year, we are confident that it will be our best conference yet!
